Whew! Anxiety is less now than it was before. No longer worried about bad things happening to the baby. Still waiting for that burst of energy though.
For women that are not skinny, here is what I wish I knew before about clothes. Gap’s plus size stuff fits really really small and isn’t made very well. Motherwear is okay but kind of expensive. I love love love the clothes from JC Penney online (although shipping is really high and SLOW) and Motherwear. I have been extremely happy with both and they both fit exactly as they should.

We had a doctor’s visit today. The nurse could not find the heartbeat with a regular doppler so we had an ultrasound. My doctor is so funny. He said that baby is perfect and the heartbeat was really strong. Baby was dancing all over the place. Amazing!
Doc said he thought that he might be able to see a “third leg” but not to go painting the room blue just yet! Baby looks so different this month. What a difference 4 weeks makes when you are a growing baby.

Poots August 21, 2006

Hemorrhoids are the devil. Seriously, could pregnancy have more crazy things going on with it? I’ve tried more fiber and it’s not really working for me. I’ve had plums and beans and apples and now I poot when I walk.
I have two new girl names. Beaux (Bo) and Leila for girls. I don’t know why I can’t narrow the girl names down. I just can’t for some reason.

I’ve had a Sonic orange slush almost everyday for the past few weeks. I can’t live without it. It’s my Starbucks. I go pick that up and then go get food someplace else. Now I want orange push pops really bad.
My stomach is still acting up. I was really queasy on Thursday and Friday of this past week. I hadn’t had that in a long time it seems.
My appetite seems to be leveling out a little bit. I’m getting full at a normal rate and not getting hungry as often so my snacking is down a little.
We go to the doctor on Tuesday to hear the heartbeat. I’m pretty excited. You know what they say – under 140 is a boy and anything above is a girl. I’ll update you guys then!

You people are dying to see my belly! Go check it out here. Keep in mind that I was chunky before I got pregnant and right now it just looks like I ate too much.

I have moved into a new phase of pregnancy that I didn’t know existed. The exploding ass phase. Think extreme opposite of being constipated. Yeah, gross. I guess I can eat more if nothing is staying in me, right?
I feel a little better this week actually. I have been getting out a little more. I think the nausea is lessening. I know that I won’t wake up on day one of the 13th week and feel awesome, but I am so ready for this trimester to be over. We go to the doctor again next week to hear the heartbeat. I’m pretty excited.
I had the clearest skin for the first 9.5 weeks and now I’m getting pimples again. Also, a stabbing pain in my left boob that I haven’t had since the first few days I found out.
9 Weeks August 7, 2006

Feels alot like 8 weeks. My tummy is harder for sure but not much rounder. I still feel pukey from about 2pm to 9pm most days. I felt gas bubbles earlier tonight and thought “maybe I’m feeling the baby?” That’s what the books say it feels like.
I found out this past week that a really great friend of mine from Louisiana that I had lost touch with is about eight weeks ahead of me in pregnancy. That is too cool. I think very highly of this girl and would love for us to share that together.

My queasiness hit right at 6.5 weeks. I haven’t thrown up but I get that feeling every afternoon around the same time and it lasts for a few hours. Sitting in front of the computer seems to be the worst thing for it.
My appetite is out of control and there are days/times that I could eat everything in sight. New cravings are orange juice, french toast, cake, real coke, popcicles, and McDonald’s cookies. I don’t like very much meat right now and something that I love one minute, I hate the very next. I am so ready for the 2nd trimester when my tastebuds go back to normal.
My belly is starting to pop out a little bit. Not extremely noticeable but it is to me. Everything is uncomfortable (especially underwear). I do not care at all what I look like right now. My nails and toes are a mess and I need to color my hair. Maybe when I feel better although I hear it only gets worse.
I have no idea how there are people that don’t know they are pregnant until they are 8 weeks or later. I have way too many things going on to not notice.
