I will try to get my thoughts together and update soon.  I had no idea it was this hard to have a baby in the house.  NO IDEA.  Here’s a pic to tide you over.  He is practicing smiling these days.  He’s so cute and loveable and hilarious.  Thank you all for checking in on me.  You can always see pics as I upload them to flickr as well.

Gage Marcus is here.  I had him on Monday at 5:56pm via C-Section.  I’ll post the long birth story soon, guys, I promise.  Time is just slipping past me these past few days.  It’s the craziest thing.

He weighed in at 7 pounds and 14 ounces and is 20.5 inches long.  We are so in love with this little guy.

Momma Dawn Elaine and Baby Gage Marcus are both healthy and doing well.  I was able to visit with them for a while yesterday.  My fabulous friend had on the cutest pair of nursing jammies and was positively glowing.  She snuggles Gage so naturally, and youshould see the way she looks at him.  That baby has the most perfectly round little face.  And Elvee, the big guy that looks like he could crush a car with his bare hands, daintily holds Gage and gets excited about changing diapers.       

The new family is trying to rest tonight before coming home tomorrow.  I wish them sweet dreams!  Love y’all.  T

My best pal, Dawn-Dawn, had her beautiful baby boy today.  She had a c-section around 6ish.  I think he weighs 7.14 pounds and is 21 inches long.  I only saw them for a bit, but they’re both doing well.  I’m super-mega excited for her and Elvee and send them the best wishes for their new baby.  Love you!  T 

Taken at 38 Weeks/5 Days.  It has really popped out there now and it has dropped alot.  It’s very uncomfortable at this point.   Whole set is here.

After months and months of OB appointments, I had my final one today as a pregnant woman.  It really has felt like this day would never ever get here.  Now that it is here, I feel kind of torn about it.  I’m miserably uncomfortable but I will sort of miss being pregnant.  I will just miss feeling him kick and squirm around.  The rest of it I could take or leave.

Anyway, as of today I am 3cm dilated and 90-95% effaced.  Baby is head down and has dropped (I thought so.)  I have gained 25 pounds total for this whole pregnancy.  That is the best part.  I always worried since I started out as a big girl that I would balloon up into a huge cow.  I know that I’ll be pretty flabby after because I’ve hardly moved off the sofa for 9 months but I can deal with that.

Monday is induction day.  We get there at 8am and they will start the Pitocin and break my water.  Doc says that I can have the epidural as soon as I want it after that.  He also says that I can eat something light before we go.  ThankyouJesus.  I don’t do empty stomach very well.  Then if all goes to plan, I should have a baby by the time Oprah is on.  I’ll post the final belly shots this weekend and then it’s off to have a baby! I have a friend updating for me so be sure to check back Monday evening for stats.

When your baby “drops”, you will poop alot.  Like you can drink water and have to poop.  Oh yeah, and you get hemorrhoids.   Let the fun begin.
